A New Adventure Has Begun!
Well… both Rod and I had been talking about it just before but the Adventure to this event with Tony Robbins and company – “The Power of Success”, the 1st of August, pushed us to do this very thing – start a new blog that is meant to be from my heart to yours!
Not just information or direction but something real. Something that tells you that it’s possible to find love after you’ve been through divorce, heartbreak and your world totally falling apart.
I’ve been asked so many times what makes “us” work when he is a widower and I am divorced. Now – I’m not only going to TELL you but I’m going to SHOW you.
Will it make a difference to show you that love can happen? It’s real and it can survive? YOU can survive? And that, if you don’t give up, your heart will find “the One”?
I HOPE so! I’m banking on it. Because as Tony Robbins encouraged us to remember… “If you want to take the island, burn the boats!”
I’m burning the boats! And I’m hoping to persuade YOU to do the same.
I’m leaping into extreme heart exposure here because I am so convinced that love works. And that a man is waiting out there to love you. And his love will become YOUR ROCK as Rod’s has become mine!
The Power of Success In A Relationship
Rod and I are doing this together. Very soon he will be also writing his own blog. “Starting Again at 58: A Gentleman’s Journey Into Life, Love and the Art of Shaving” or something to that affect. (I’ll send you the link.)
He has wanted to do this before but hasn’t moved himself to that point. I know he has the potential. And he is feeling as if that’s part of what he’s made to do.
What is the absolute key to leaving the pettiness and little quirks you come up against behind? It’s this: PURPOSE.
It’s getting up early on a Thursday morning in a strange city to catch the train and walk through a long line-up and sit shoulder to shoulder with strangers for 12 hours…to do what? To learn to become all we can be and how we can each make a difference.
The Michelangelo Effect
You’ll hear me talk about this a lot!
The famous sculptor, Michelangelo said, “Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it. I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.”
That’s how I see Rod and how he sees me.
Blocks of marble with a statue inside. We are meant to draw out the beautiful person that we can be if our fears are quieted ad our strength becomes the focus.
This is one more step toward that reality.
